Among the largest pre-war Leningrad House of Culture constructions is the Kirov Palace of Culture at 83 Bolshoy Avenue, Vasilievsky Island from 1931-1937 and constructed by architects Noi Trotsky. The Palace of Culture has a big a theatre hall with seating for 1,370 people.
