The bus station in Maribor was designed by a Slovenian modernist architect Jaroslav Černigoj and later also built between 1935 and 1938. The whole design of the structure was marked by rounded shapes. It was designed as a roof with a curved shape and rounded corners. The pavement underneath it was rounded in corners as well. The roof was supported by circular pillars which were entirely undecorated. The lights attached to the ceilings were shaped as rather small hemispheres. The bus station was positioned as if it was in the middle of the road, meaning buses going in one direction were on one side of it and the ones going in the other direction were parked on the other side of it. The building was demolished in 1972.
