Jaroslav Cernigoj, published in Delo at his death 21. 1. 1989.

Jaroslav Cernigoj was born in 1905 in Bovec and died in 1989 in Maribor. He was an architect from Maribor, who graduated from the architectural school in Ljubljana under Joze Plecnik. In the scope of the Projekt Maribor, he and his brother Milan took over the leading role in the field of industrial construction. His Metalna buildings represent the largest achievement in setting up prefabricated halls in steel construction in post-war architecture in Slovenia. Cernigoj's architectural work creates the impression of monumentality with the sense of transparent organisation of building masses and interior spaces (Maribor Railway Station, Hotel Slavija).
