Jan Rave was a German architect trained in Berlin. Together with his brother Rolf Rave, ha participated in IBA Berlin 1987 project. His later projects include preservation of monuments at the Schöneberg town hall and the conversion of the Prussian Chamber of Deputies to the Berlin Parliament, with Marina Stankovic (Marina Stanković Architekten). He also worked abroad - in Paris, Milan, Athens.
Jan Rave developed numerous activities in addition to his architectural work: he worked as a consultant to the building senator from 1983 to 1986, was chairman of the BDA Berlin from 1987 to 1993, and founded the Förderverein Architekturpreis Berlin in 1994. He was a secretary in the Verein der Freude der Nationalgalerie.
