Description Change this
Bertalan Árkay’s Városmajor Church and its belfry form an outstanding piece of art of the era between the two wars as well as of the history of Hungarian church architecture in general. The building, with its concrete structure and separate belltower, was the city's first modern church.
The Church was recognized by the architectural community, but not at all by the believers. They called garage of God, because of its reinforced concrete interior structure.
The belltower is quite far from the church like the creek called Devil’s Trench flows between them.
