Description Change this

The Sochi Circus is located at Pushkin and Kurortny avenues, nearby the famous Sochi Arboretum (Dendrarium).
The circus was designed by the architect Yulian Lvovich Shvartsbreim (Ю. Шварцбрейм) and was awarded with the USSR State Prize. The construction of the building was completed in 1971. The Sochi Circus is a circus building for 2000 spectators. One of the most striking elements of the building are the decorations of the vestibules, foyer and gallery with mosaic and marble inlays.

Since the opening, the circus has not been modernized. Currently it is closed and will be reopened in 2014.

The Mosaics designed by Evgeni Kazmin, currently St Petersburg Artists' Union. I have the original designs in London.
