Alena Sramkova and colleagues from her studio won the competition in 2004. The project was prepared in 2005-2009, implementation of the project took place in 2009-2010. The building was inaugurated on February 22, 2011. It became the seat of the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Architecture CTU.

Monolithic concrete building has eight floors above ground and three underground garage floors. On the 1st floor there is a connecting bridge to the building and the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The brick facade of the building consists of tiles in combination with concrete to viewing. Floor plan 64 x 64 m is above ground, from 3.4 installed cubes in the shape of L. The entire building is a highly energy-efficient and has been designed as universal, with premises suitable for teaching technical subjects. Its characteristic feature is the transparency of its internal space with glass partitions that allow glimpses into the classrooms, seminar rooms, studios and workrooms teachers.
