The LAU, Urban Acupuncture Laboratory its and multi disciplinary laboratory where, architects, urbanist, sociologist, economist, political scientists, landscape designers, artist, and many different professionals with a social perspective would have a platform to participate in different material or non material typologies of public projects for example the design of a sport facility for Tapachula in Chiapas in the city of Tapachula, which is borderline city with the problems of migration, poverty and inequity. Chiapas and specially Tapachula is one of the most important Coffee producers in Mexico, this new federal government established in 2018 with the President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, change the way of public administration cleaning the corruption and looking for the poor, in a mater of urban development the SEDATU Secretaria de Desarrollo Territorial y Urbano, Arch. Román Meyer Falcon of the federal government make a statement of good design for forgotten cities and communities, there is not a plate of the president in the new buildings, there would be no recognition of the time where this projects have been build, just the memory of people gathered together in a community center, with quality spaces, the child playing safe in a public park with lights, or a pedestrian who now can walk trough their own community in a sidewalk, the PMU Programa de Mejoramiento Urbano of the SEDATU is the conjunction of many professionals, looking for better conditions of living in a context of marginality and poverty. Participating in the PMU 2021 as LAU in other cites in the south of Mexico like Paraiso, Tabasco. Comitán de Domínguez, and San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas.
