The Viennese office studio uek works at producing and implementing ideas in the field of tension between architecture and urbanism. Since its foundation in 2008 by Katharina Urbanek, Benni Eder and Theresa Krenn, studio uek has completed projects at a number of different scales, ranging from interventions in urban space to multi-storey housing and urban planning concepts. Teaching and trans-disciplinary work provide support for the research-based practice of studio uek. Vienna acts as a base from which to explore situations near and far. Projects by studio uek have been shown in various publications and exhibitions, both in Austria and abroad.
