Petraq Kolevica was born in Korca in 1934. During the years 1952-57 he studies in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tirana and continued his practice as architect in the public Institute of design. Here he distinguished himself as architect earning different prices like the "Work Order" and "Price Republic" which were very important for that period.

In 1991, he was elected the first president of the first "Albanian Association of Architects". Besides the professional work as architect he was dedicated also to literary creation and translation.
