About Change this

The work of Lukasz Kos seeks to examine the intersection between abstract tectonics and formal expression. An integrated studio based approach allows Kos to exploit project parameters and their relationships with the ultimate aim of advancing each architectural project beyond expectation.

Lukasz Kos has been a senior design architect at Maclennan Jaunkalns miller architects in Toronto from 2009 to 2010. There he led the design for the commonwealth stadium recreation complex expansion and renovation in Edmonton, Canada; and the Sabourin cottage located in the Canadian shield of Ontario, Canada. At Bruce Mau design Lukasz worked on the vision for the King Abdullah city for atomic and renewable energy, a confidential project in Saudi Arabia. Kos worked with Frank Gehry in Los Angeles on projects in the United States and Dubai, UAE. He executed the design for an urban redevelopment of downtown Los Angeles, the Philadelphia museum of art renovation and expansion, and the development of the world’s first 1km tall building, the Jumeirah Gardens.

Most notably, Lukasz has been recognized internationally in architecture and design magazines, books, as well as television for his 4treehouse project on lake Muskoka, Canada. Completed when Lukasz was just 24 years old, the project has garnered international attention from the likes of Gestalten in Berlin, Thames Hudson in London, and appeared on the world’s most extreme homes.
